After all the Christmas fayre, it was good to get back on the bike again, albeit in the spare room on the trainer. I have really only got into Zwift over the past year or so, but it provides an excellent alternative to outdoor, road cycling when you want a quick half hour, or even more, to up your fitness and improve your feeling of mental health. This was just the ticket for this evening with a quick spin with some other keen cyclists around Richmond. I made the mistake of choosing a ‘surprise me’ around Innsbruck a couple of weeks ago and got my hill climbing in for, what must be a year, so today was more about endurance and practising that all important cadence. 10 miles done and I feel a whole lot better for it. All whilst the rain is coming down hard outside.
